ANIMAL POLICY

We welcome a maximum of one well-behaved, small, quiet dog in Kestrel and Curlew on the following conditions:

1. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. This is for the sake of both the farm animals and the other guests. Not everyone likes dogs and having them running around or jumping up can cause distress.

2. Dogs must never be left in the cottages alone. This is to prevent two main problems:

2.1 Barking - many dogs bark and howl if left by their owners. This causes upset and disturbs other guests on holiday.

2.2 Dogs if left by their owners can become bored and chew the furniture - one dog severely damaged a table.

3. Owners must clear up after their pets immediately. We have children as well as adults here and the grounds must be kept clean at all times.

4. Dogs must be kept off all the furniture and the beds, as this causes us a great deal of extra cleaning as well as causing problems for those with respiratory conditions.

We apologise if reading this makes us sound legalistic but sadly we have been let down by some pet owners in the past. Now for the health, safety and comfort of all of our guests, dog owners must agree to abide by these conditions if they wish to bring their pets on holiday. If you are unable to meet, or unhappy with, these conditions, then we request that you do not bring your dog with you to Blagdon Farm.

We ask for a contribution of £20.00 for a dog.

If you would like your dog to be nearby, in a centrally heated kennels, enabling you to take them out during the day, we have details of an excellent kennels 10mins from Blagdon.

Any owner ignoring these conditions may be asked to leave.
